SEPTEMBER SCREENING
The Lobster and The Liver Tues. September 28th @ 7pm Central Cinema 1411 21st Ave. The Lobster and the Liver' is a documentary about the Seattle cartoonist Jim Woodring. We chart his journey as a child experiencing terrifying hallucinations, through his troubled youth as a prankster and alcoholic, and examine his current status as a master craftsman and seeker of spiritual truth. As well as displaying his incredibly surreal artwork, we also interview his family and friends and some notable cartoonists, including Peter Bagge, Ellen Forney, and Jim Blanchard.
AUGUST SCREENING
Scrap Tues. August 31st @ 7pm Central Cinema 1411 21st Ave. Scrap is a feature documentary which follows the history of two eccentric builders and their amazing structures which were both built by a single man: "The Forevertron" built by Tom Every and "Bishop Castle" built by Jim Bishop.
